Dear American Customer, Traditionally chess books are a little cheaper in the USA than Europe and the rest of the world. At Quality Chess we have pondered about how best to respect this in our web-shop. We found many complicated solutions to the problem, but we have now come up with a simple solution! Titles highlighted with an American flag and the text "Available in the US" are available through our partner in the US. This means customers who submit a US address will pay the regular price for the books, but will be exempt of postage costs. To ship a title from Europe to the US takes around two weeks, while shipment of titles available in the US should not take more than a couple of days. It is, of course, still possible for American customers to order books directly from our European stock, but postage is payable at the non-European rate. Usually our titles are not available in the United States in the first few months after release, or occasionally, when due to demand, they are out of stock in the US. Obviously this is something we will try to avoid, but it may happen if, for instance, we are preparing new editions of a title.
